Frontier yarn about an itinerant gunfighter who arrives at a remote cavalry outpost run by a disgraced English officer. The gunman is reunited with a woman from whom he has long been separated, but the prospect of happiness is undermined by the threat of an impending Indian attack. When the hostiles finally do move against the fort, the sole slender chance for survival lies with the gunfighter's ability to broker a peace agreement.
